What is BetterPlate?+

BetterPlate uses AI to transform your favourite recipes into healthier versions across four health goals — Lose Weight, General Health, Build Muscle and Athletic Performance. Tell it what you're craving, paste a recipe, or snap a photo, and you get a healthier version in seconds.

Is the nutrition information accurate? What about allergens?+

AI-generated content may be incorrect and you should not use any output as a replacement for professional advice. Always independently check all ingredients for allergens and in view of any intolerances, dietary restrictions or personal preferences before cooking or eating. Where available, calorie estimates are verified against nutrition databases, but they remain estimates.

What's free, and what's in Premium?+

The free tier lets you transform a limited number of recipes each month across all four goals. Premium unlocks unlimited transforms, Create mode (build a recipe from the ingredients you have), saving and organising recipes, the Meal Planner and Shopping List, and photo input. You can compare the tiers on our pricing section.

How do I subscribe, change or cancel my plan?+

Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play — whichever you used to subscribe. To change or cancel, open your subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Because the app stores handle billing, refunds are also requested through them, under their terms.

How do I manage my dietary preferences and allergens?+

You can set and update your dietary requirements, allergens and preferences in the Settings section of the app. You can withdraw your consent to us processing this information at any time in Settings.

How do I access or delete my data?+

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing us. We delete inactive accounts after a period of inactivity. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail of your data-protection rights.

Which devices does BetterPlate work on?+

BetterPlate is available on iOS and Android phones and tablets, and on the web. For the best experience, keep your operating system and the app up to date.

Complaints & your rights

If something isn’t right, please email us at support@betterplate.co and we’ll do our best to put it right. Please include your account email and a description of the issue.

If your complaint relates to how we handle your personal data and we can’t resolve it together, you have the right to raise it with the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
